Sarah Yalda is a Family Mediator with Lawfinity Advocates LLP, who incorporates a victims-focused approach in her practice. Her background in conflict resolution, victim and human rights, and cultural sensitivity makes her a strong asset to the Lawfinity Advocates LLP team. Sarah has been involved in the victim services field in a variety of roles for the past six years, and her experiences have enabled her to assist victims of crimes in developing safety planning and resources/connections to the community when navigating their victimization and trauma.

Sarah’s educational background includes a Double Major in Sociology and Criminology [H] with distinction, a Master of Arts in Criminology, and recently, a Certificate in Family Mediation. All of these experiences have benefited Sarah in becoming better versed at serving her clientele.

Outside of her professional role, Sarah enjoys volunteering with different organizations in her community. She conducts research projects in her free time, volunteers with at-risk children and youth, and assists victims and witnesses of crimes and tragic events as a Crisis Responder. Sarah has received education and training in cultural sensitivity, and is well-versed in helping individuals and groups with various cultural, religious, social, ethnic, and other backgrounds. She continues to engage in training and education to further strengthen her foundation, and is driven in her ambition to help others. 

As a minority woman, she understands more than others the struggles of navigating the legal system as a diverse individual. She is empathetic, dedicated, and seeking to help you with your problems to secure a peaceful and beneficial resolution for all.
